Anyone (particularly from the US) gone on the USO/Koridoor DMZ tour recently? I'm attempting to reserve a spot, and it seems expensive and/or inconvenient to pay the US$77 fee. My choices are pay in person (but at least 5 days in advance, which won't work for me since I don't arrive in country until 2 days before the tour), pay by calling long distance via credit card (VISA/MC), or doing a wire transfer into some Korean bank account. The last option seems like a good possibility, except that my bank needs a bank routing number in order to wire funds, and Koridoor apparently has no clue what I'm talking about when I ask them for their bank's (KEB) routing number. I can only guess that routing numbers are not something that Korean banks have.

How have others paid for this tour?

thanks

What makes you think that a wire transfer is going to be less than making a quick phone call and providing a credit card number?

Intermediary Bank: JP Morgan Chase, New York, NY
ABA Routing Number: 021000021
Swift Code: KOEXKRSE
Korea Exchange Bank Address: 181, 2-Ka, Eulji-ro, Chung-Ku, Seoul, Korea

Just call and give your credit card. If it's through the USO I'm sure it's safe.

The bank transfer they're talking about is generally domestic. It's how I'm paying.

When are you going?

I'm going on the tour at the end of Sept. What I ended up doing was faxing my CC info to them, and it went smoothly.

Yeah, I went on Saturday. I just emailed my cc info to them. If you're on a secure network (or if you live on the wild side) you'll be fine. When you arrive in the a.m. you'll sign your receipt and be on your way.

hi, did Koridoor ask you to scan your passport details and email to them when you make a booking?
normally most secured locations just ask one to show your passport on the day
it seems irregular they ask for colour scan but if they asked everyone, ie that is the way, i suppose that is ok.
i am a bit cautious since i know people got their personal info stolen / use for fraud

in terms of payment, phoning them is ok but where do you get their fax details? should be cheaper with fax i think

thanks for your advice in advance
