I am thinking about heading in the direction of Olympic park this weekend and wondered if anyone knew a decent area in the vicinity to stay the night? I haven't been to that side of Seoul before. I am not looking for anything super exciting but wondered if there is an area with motels/restaurants etc.

Also, does anyone know whether the Provincial park near there, Namhan Sansung is worth a visit?

Thanks for the help!

Can't help with the first part, but Nanhansanseong is definitely worth a visit. The old city wall is really cool, and you can see it snaking over the hills. It's like the Great Wall of China (only MUCH more modest obviously). Nice woods and stuff there too, and good views across Seoul.

I take it you mean 'Namhansanseong'. This is easily one of the most difficult fortresses in Korea: its more akin to a hike like one of the provincial parks.

It was excellent though and worth the effort. I haven't met many people who have been there but I enjoyed it. And yes, it did remind of the Great Wall.
