I read so much of these sauna places being used for over night.
I will like to try at least one or 2 of them.

Can anyone recommend which to go for ?
Anyone has a storage locker big enough to store a cabin size luggage ?

I have been to Japanese onsens but no overnights in the Japanese ones.
I will travel to Seoul, Busan, Gyeongju, Daegu, Andong, Jeonju, Makpo, Wando, Incheon, Danyang, Darjeon, Yangdong.

Any recommendation and information will be much appreciated.

Hi,

I'm afraid you can not store your cabin size luggage on the locker in JJimjilbang.
The locker in JJimjilbag looks like following links;

But I guess you can ask the desk to keep your luggage(Mostly free).

Brad,

Thank you for the reply but cant figure out the size from the photos. If the width has 25 cm will be ok. Height and depth is big enough.

Hi...my friend and I spent 2 nights in a JJB in Seoul (no idea which one, it was our first time in Seoul, we just bumped into one), and yes, you can store luggage in some of them (ours you could...it was one of the reasons we were happy with the place). My friend had a massive 70L backpack (he was on a 1-month trip) and I had my little 30L backpack (I live in Korea, was just doing a long weekend up there). Our lockers were big enough to fit our bags without issues.

The good:
- Yes on the lockers
- Cheap (we paid 10k won - about $10 - per night per person)
- Since we paid up for a couple of nights in advance, they let us store our luggage there during the day, which was a nice bonus.

The bad:
- It was slightly hotter in the JJB sleeping area than it is on Venus, but with 970% humidity.
- There were about 150 people in one open area. If anyone snored, talked on their phone, etc...you heard it.
- Sleep on the floor with no bedding of any kind. We got one brick of a "pillow" - it was a block of hard foam about the size of a dictionary wrapped in coarse vinyl - per person and that's it.

It really depends on how long you're going for. I've been back to Seoul plenty of times, and found love motels/yeokwons (they're surprisingly nice!) for 30-35 bucks a night. For a weekend, especially split between people, it's a no-brainer over a JJB.

Canonite,

Thanks for the report. I just want an experience. You mean they do not have air-conditioning in the sleep area or they put the temperature high during winter ?

Any idea location of those you stayed with large locker ?

How about toilet facilities ? I once visited a public bathhouse in China and to my horror, they only provide a squat toilet without a door !!

Hi...you're welcome, I hope it was somewhat helpful.

Zero air conditioning in the sleep area. As far as temperature/humidity goes, it's sauna weather in there. We went in the middle of the summer...it was...less than pleasant. :)

I'm not sure where we were, but we were near that little creek that runs through the city (not the river), close to one of the major hostels (that, inexplicably, was not staffed).

As far as I can remember they had normal sit-down toilets. But...Korea is an Asian country, so don't be shocked if you run into places with squat-only toilets, though most places give you a choice and doors are the norm. :)
