Hello there,
I'm planning to visit SK, travelling on budget. Can anyone help to fine tune my itenary below? I just came up with a rough idea, basically visiting unesco's site, not so much into hiking.

  • what is the cheapest airfare from jejudo to seoul by jejuair? or is it cheaper by asiana? what is the difference in cost from the ferry + bus options from jejudo to seoul?
  • is there anything interesting between mokpo and seoul? i am contemplating taking the flights from jejudo to seoul but no definite plan yet as I need to gather more infos.
  • is there anything that I can squeeze in the schedule below? anything i miss out?
  • from busan, i am trying to get to jejudo without taking the flights or the long ferry, therefore i plan to head to mokpo or wando stopping by yeosu on the way. Is this a good idea or shld i just head to mokpo/wando instead? i'm unsure of this stretch and what to see in yeosu or mokpo or wando?
  • is spring or autumn a better time to visit?
  • what is the kind of budget i'm looking at if I were to stay in dorm room, taking the public transportations, and eating on budget?

If I were you, I'd go to Suncheon, instead of Yeosu, to see Suncheonman Bay and Songgwangsa Temple (http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_6.jsp?gotoPage=4&cid=762729), unless you really want to ride a boat to tour around the sea.

Or, you may drop by Namhae for its beautiful Sangju beach (http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_1_1_1.jsp?cid=264621) and Geumsan Boriam Temple (http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_6.jsp?cid=262191) for a serene day.

Between Mokpo and Seoul, there's Buyeo, the last capital of Baekje kingdom (http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_6.jsp?cid=262459).

I don't have information regarding air fares, etc.; however, air travel, especially from Jejudo to Seoul is much easier and also will save time for you so you may look around more. Between Wando and Jejudo, you may want to take a ferry.

I'm sorry that I can't answer all your questions. I hope this helps.

Hiya, if you are interested in tea plantations, Bosesong is worth a visit. I stayed in the small seaside village of Yulpo, which was a short bus ride to the Bosesong plantation itself. I loved Haeinsa although it was difficult to get to... personally I would avoid Busan if you were pushed for time... enjoy your stay!

There are tea plantations in Jeju island as well, such as O'Sulloc Tea Museum.
