Does anyone know if there is free public WiFi available in Sokcho or Yangyang-gun areas.
In Seoul and the major cities, they are easy to find in the coffee shops etc.
Was wondering if they are readily available in the smaller cities and areas?
I will be staying near there and need to access some wifi to call home on Skype.

Sokcho and Yangyang's internet is a lot less developed due to it being more rural...if you can find a chain coffee shop (Angel-in-us, Starbucks, Davinci, Holly's Coffee) you might be in luck.
If not, find a PC방 (PC Bang/internet cafe) and see if you can rent a mic & webcam from them whilst using their computers.
Hope you manage to find something!

Actually, I kind of disagree with tomstar. There's WiFi everywhere in Korea. I live in the middle of nowhere and still get WiFi anywhere I go.
The problem is that a lot of the WiFi is either paid or requires you to enter your social security number (and hence only Koreans can use it- this is one of the few things I truly hate about Korea). Anyhow, "ollehwifi" and "tmobile" are usually of that variety.
"Anygate" and "iptime" are usually free (but not necessarily). And of course if you really can't get anything, go ahead with tomstar's suggestion of the PC bang.
