Several people have contacted me recently, yet when I have responded I have gotten a message saying that they do not wish to receive messages. Now, obviously something is misfoot here. Are these people dorks? Did they suddenly change their minds upon hearing that I don't always lower the toilet seat? I don't think so.

Clearly there is a problem with the PM system and with the litttle instruction that says "enable your pm receiving" or " if you want to get personal messages, click this".

Whatever the problem, I am sure that our gracious hosts at TT will soon (ASAP) fix it:)

For those whom I have not responded to, I am not the one pissing on you:)

It is not TTs fault. People seem to click the box that they don't want to receive PMs when they sign up or at some point along the way and then forget and don't unclick or add you to the list of recipients.

When this happens, you can post the answer publicly or post a message to them to unlock their PMs. But this isn't the fault of the TT. It is the fault of the sender who doesn't check to see that he or she can receive a response. Happens all the time.

Ruth is right, every user can choose the PM settings by him/herself. You can also choose to refuse PM's from individual users (which is handy if, like has happened to me a few times, you get a PM that would be removed immediately if published openly).
