I am looking for domestic flights on the routes Busan-Jeju and Jeju-Cheongju. I noticed that there are at least four airlines serving those routes: Asiana, Korean Air, Jeju Air and Hansung Airlines.

Does anybody know if there is a possibility to book flights on the two low fare airlines from overseas? On the webpage they state that only credit cards issued in Korea would be accepted.

If not, do they have an office in Gimpo Airport, where we could book the flights after our arrival in Seoul? Or is it possible to book the flights through travel agencies?
Do the airlines have fixed prices for domestic flights or will it be more expensive to book them on short notice?

Thanks for any help!

Too bad that they don't accept foreign cards, but obviously neither of them has any incentive to run a overseas presence and/or representative.

Most of those low-fare tickets are sold over the internet, and travel agency (as an intermidiary) involvement in flight ticket sales alone is doubtful unless they sell their own combined travel package.

You might be able to purchase your ticket in advance at the airport, but then you'll have to give up flexible discounts offered only over the internet.

Have you looked into taking the Ferry? It is pretty convenient from Busan and pretty cheap. I also heard about a flight from Seoul that was rather cheap. I cant remember the name but it does direct flights to the island and is cheap.

Korean Air and Asiana Airlines accept foreign credit cards(VISA card and MasterCard only) when you book flight tickets on English language web-site.

Registration of "Verified by VISA" or of "MasterCard Secure Code" is required in advance.
