Hi,
Does anybody out there know of any tour groups that offer self-directed or guided bike tours of Korea. Something where they take you luggage point to point, provide you with maps, yada yada.
Similar to organizations such as Hooked on Cycling and Saddle Skedaddle.
Thanks, John

Cycling in many parts of Korea is suicidal & not recommended. Roads are narrow with no shoulders, at least in the rural areas I lived in, they were. You'd need to research any planned route carefully beforehand.

Although I agree with the poster above that cycling in Korea can be quite dangerous, it's usually not too bad once you're out of the cities if you can find some of the less-traveled roads. I usually go out every weekend for 2 or 3 hours, and although getting out of the city is a bit hectic, once you're out, the drivers tend to be more respectful and give you more space.
I'm not aware of any cycling tour companies anywhere here. There may be something like that on Jeju Island, but that would be aimed at Korean tourists. You could probably use the taekbae service, which is a cheap way to ship packages around Korea, but it would probably end up being quite a hassle unless you speak/read Korean.
