If you teach English in Busan, how do find out about discount airfare specials around Asia for holiday periods? Are there cheap deals from the Busan international airport? What are fares to HK and Phuket?

When are the winter holidays in Korea that teachers have off?

What is the typical winter temperature in Busan? Is it much warmer than Seoul?

How is the food? Are those of you who teach there happy?

Thanks.

Don't know about the flights, I do know a lot of people take the bus to Incheon and fly from there.

Holidays vary, depends on the school you work for and whether it is public or private.

KIt gets cold, but is not as cold as Seoul, cant remember the temperatures though.

I hate Korean food but Busan has lots of Western food eating places. KOrean food tends to be spicy which I can't stand.

I live in a city an hour from Busan and I am happy here.

I am living here for a year and have no plans to leave the country! The flights are expensive but the boats are cheap (you can get a boat to Japan from Busan). Instead, I am trying to see everything there is to see in Korea, save all my money and travel around Asia afterwards. The money is so good here, lots of people do go away and don't worry about spending the money of the flights but for me, extended travel afterwards keeps me in the country for now!

Holiday totally depends on your school, some get loads of time off some just the 7 days in the contract. Assume little time off and you are likely to be happily surprised (though not in my case!)
