Hi all!

I will have a long-ish layover in Seoul international airport on a flight home from Thailand and am wondering if I'll be able to sneak out for a peek at the city. I have 7 hours between flights midday on a Thursday. With security and passport control and time to get to and from downtown, would I have enough time to do anything? And if so, and recommendations on what one should see in Seoul if you can only see one thing?

Thanks in advance!

Buses run from the airports downtown, and there's lots to see if you want to downtown Seoul. There's a city bus tour that takes you around a loop and you can get on and off where ever you'd like to, Downtown there's a few palaces, and you could also check out the War Museum, go to Insadong which has some cute shops for buying touristy trinkets, the national museum (not my favorite - lots of pots...)
There is a facebook group for the Korean Tourism Organization, and you could email them with specific shuttle bus questions, they're really helpful.

Hope you have a good time!

You might just squeeze a trip to the city in, but you won't have a great deal of time there.
