hello all,

I'm planning to travel to Suwon during my stay at Seoul.
I'm not sure how much time I should give myself to travel at Suwon.

I thought of travel there in the morning and around afternoon time to fly to Jeju from one of Seoul Airport, Gimpe or Incheon.

Would an half a day trip would be enough? like 5-6 hours? I thought of mainly exploring the fortress.

thanks

Funny you should ask, as I went to the Fort in Suwon today. I took the metro all the way from Seoul (took about an hour), and then walked from the station out to the fort. The walk took about 40 minutes, and is fairly easy. I walked the entire way around the fort (starting from the Palmuldom Gate)), clockwise in just over 3 hours. This included a many brief stops to take pictures, and a few short stops to rest & enjoy the views. Also, be forewarned that the west side of the fort is a fairly strenuous hike, however the rest is mostly level with some tiny hills. I did NOT go inside the fort to check out the buildings, so if that's important to you, you'll need to add at least an hour (for walking time, plus to see stuff).
