We have decided that with the limited time that we have that a 2 hour red and white city tour would be good and then go to a spa and do a hot bath and acupuncture have lunch and go back to the airport. Do you suggest the train to the next airport and then the subway into Seoul? Is this the fastest transportation into the city? And do you know of a place that offers a bath, DR Fish, and acupuncture and massage if we aren't too pushed for time and eat. Also where would be the best spot to catch a city tour bus? i am just now trying to get in place the Korea day so all help is appreciated. Also what do you think the best dish to try would be while there so I am not sick on the next leg of the flight to Malaysia? Again all suggestions are appreciated.

Hi,

I would take the bus the the central bus station as that takes you right into the centre of town without any changing etc... Taxis are quite cheap so you can get to where ever you need for there. If you don't have much time maybe just go to Insa-dong and Gyeongbukgung Palace, they are within walking distance of each other and there are some great restaurants and tea houses in that area too. As for food Bibimbap (rice with chilli paste, egg and vegetables and maybe a little meat) is tasty cheap and doesn't contain garlic (I'm thinking of your fellow passengers to KL). Otherwise Korean BBQ is great too, especially the beef.

I've never heard of acupuncture at a Korean bath house but I do recommend having a full body scrub- it will make you feel relaxed and energised for your on going trip.

Hope that helps,

Ella

The airport itself runs bus tours to various destinations, and with a range of durations - e.g. I think I did a 6-hour tour that included Gyeongbukgung Palace, a shopping street, and korean-style lunch at a restaurant. Very handy if you can't be bothered with transportation timetables etc.
Check the airport website for more details, and then head to the information desk once you get through immigration.

Incheon Airport has an awesome spa/bath house, with hot and cold pools, showers and so on. Not sure if they do massages etc but it was worth it to refresh prior to jumping on the next plane.

Also they have lockers if you want to dump your carry on baggage for the day - I showered in the morning, left my gear there for the day then came back and had another shower/dip prior to getting on the plane, all for one low-low entry price.
