Maybe this is the wrong forum to write to, however, this is partly travel related.
I will be travelling to Mongolia - and working there for more than 3 month. I applied for the 180 days visa, which was costly and a cumbersome process. However, I got it back (Classification S - Student, Trainee etc.) and it says "Duration of Stay: 0". I phoned the embassy and they said that it was normal and that I need to obtain a residence permit once I am in Mongolia.
So my question is - is this…

We are a french couple coming to Mongolia in August for a month (Aug, 5th til Sep 2nd).
We would like to book a one way flight from UB to Moron but can't seem to find a way to do it online (leaving from UB on Aug, 7th). Does anyone have an idea of how we could do this ?
We are also looking for a guide / driver in Moron that could drive us for a couple of weeks around the lake region and back to UB.
Any recommendation / tips ?

Two friendly and adventurous minded (24yo female and 27yo male) Belgians are looking for travel companions for ou trip in Mongolia, next week. We're traveling with a lightweight backpack, already bringing our own camping gear.
We'd like to leave on the 10th of July to Olgii, by plane, and have Naadam over there (tickets have yet to be booked). From there on we'd like to drive down Western Mongolia, passing the Altai, Gobi and driving up to UB again (guides and jeeps we'd like to book in UB asap…

My wife and I will be in Mongolia the first 2 weeks of September and wanted to ask about going to Gobi.
We were planning on flying to Dalanzadgad and then hoping to find a jeep/group going out to the desert to see the sights (atleast the 3 famous ones).
- How many days should I account for this? I'm thinking that 3 days would be sufficient.
- How easy will it be to find a jeep or other people in Dalanzadgad in early September?
- Any other recommendations for places to go for that area?
Are there a lot of Chinese tourists in UB and/or other areas during PRC's National Day vacation period (this year from, say, 28 Sept to 8 Oct)?
If so, to what degree and impact?
We are taking a tour in July and will be visitingUlaanbaatar, bayanzag, Karakorum,gobi desert, Jargalant. what will the weather be like. not sure what to pack.
