I'll be in Ulaanbaatar from about 16th August to 21st August (+-). As I don't have time to travel, but I'll be in Mongolia for the first time, I'd like to go to at least one trip. If I had to choose only one 1-day (at most 2-day) return trip from Ulaanbaatar, where would you suggest to go? I have no idea what to do or see in Mongolia except the Gobi, so I'd really use your advice.
One more problem: I don't have much money (so preferably on a cheap side) and I'll probably be alone. I have to…

Hi,

I am contemplating to do a 1 1/2 day tour either to Terelj National Park or Khustai National Park (ie wherby both includes a stay at the ger camp with the local). Can someone advice me as to which one is a more worthwhile park to visit in terms of scenery, wild life and the landscape on the journey? Any advice would be great. Would anyone know if there is wild thaki horses in Terelj National Park too?

Also, would like to know as to whether it is easy to find money exchange services in UB…

hello, I am in UB and had planned a tour with a group who have since disappeared with no comment, so I am looking to join a group going anywhere but the Gobi as I have scheduled a tour there with another, more reliable, group later in the month. If you have room I would love to join a tour going anywhere else. I only need to be back in UB by 8/7. thanks!

Hi,

I have a 3 day stopover in Ulaanbaatar and want to make the best of it. I will be arriving Monday 30th July at noon and leaving three days later Thursday 2nd of August 9.30. I thought of staying the first night in Ulaanbaatar (Zaya hotel) and then renting a car for 2-3 days to explore the outdoor mongolia, sleep in a ger ect. Do you have ideas about what is best to do in this very short time?

And: is there someone who wants to join me? spelten@hotmail.com

Hi!

Probably I'll have a horse for sell around 6th or 7th of September. I plan to end my trip in one of three destinations (depending on the route chosen and horse availabilty):
- Tsersteleg
- Murun
- Khatgal

If you plan to buy a horse in September somewhere in Khovsgol or Arkhangai let me know - maybe we can work something out. Currently I'm researching were to buy the beast and in what direction to travel my route (it will be in Arkhangai - Khovsgol reagion), so there is still some flexibility…
