hi there,
is ulan bataar time zone gmt +8? is it the same with beiing?
thanks
I am pretty sure that it depends upon the time of year as there is daylight savings in Mongolia and there isn't in China.
Time Zone: (UTC or GMT 7 to 8). Google to find the dates for changes to/from daylight savings.
Ruth

tks for your reply. is that also depends on particular month of the year?
what about for the month of may?
Standard time zone: UTC/GMT +8 hours
No daylight saving time in 2009
I don't know about May 2010. Why is it important?
ruth

tks again, no particular importance..just need to know the time zone of the country i'm travelling to.
Hi
To add to Ruth's information:
Mongolia has 2 time zones.
Mongolia east and center is +8 UTC like China and the corresponding part of Russia (i.e. Irkuzk, lake Baikal).
Mongolia west (i.e khuvd, Olgii) is +7 UTC like Kazakhstan.
The Mongolian government has decided since 2007 not to change to summer time during summer.
