I am pretty sure that it depends upon the time of year as there is daylight savings in Mongolia and there isn't in China.

Time Zone: (UTC or GMT 7 to 8). Google to find the dates for changes to/from daylight savings.

what about for the month of may?

Standard time zone: UTC/GMT +8 hours
No daylight saving time in 2009

I don't know about May 2010. Why is it important?

Hi

To add to Ruth's information:

Mongolia has 2 time zones.
Mongolia east and center is +8 UTC like China and the corresponding part of Russia (i.e. Irkuzk, lake Baikal).
Mongolia west (i.e khuvd, Olgii) is +7 UTC like Kazakhstan.

The Mongolian government has decided since 2007 not to change to summer time during summer.
