Hi,

We are a couple from Slovenia, travelin on Transmongolian railway from Moscow to Beijing. We are looking for someone to join us on the tour across Mongolia to cut down costs and have a lot of fun :)

We are currently at the end of negotiations with some agencies. Please note that this is budget arrangement tour, which means that mostly we will be sleeping in tents, sometimes with nomadic families. If necessary we will visit tourist ger camps for shower. Food and all of the services are included in the price.

See our itinerary below:
- we will be arriving to UB on 28.6.2009 at 8:00. The tour starts immediately from the station;
- we finish the tour on 11.7.2009 in the evening in UB;
- we will be attending Nadaam festival as well for a day or two (Nadaam will probably be included in the tour
- the following are the places we will visit (in chronological order):
Starting in Ulaan-Baatar
Baga-Gazryn Chuluu
Ulaan Suvraga (Tsagaan)
Gurvan Saikhan National park (Yolyn Am, Khongoryn Els)
Bayanzag Cliffs (camel riding)
Ongii Temple
Orkhon Waterfall (Ulaan Tsutgalan)
Kharkhorin (Erdene Zuu monastery)
Tsenkher hot spa
Taikhar Rock
Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National park (Khorgo volcano)
Chinggis Khaan statue (Tsonjin Boldog)
Terelj National Park (Turtle Rock, etc...)
Naadam festival and UB

Sorry, forgot to put the price on :)

For 14 days for 4 people the prices range from 900$ up to 1100$ (depending of the agencies and what they include on the final two days when we stay in UB).

Last year 2008 I & my wife did the nearly same tours by joining in UB tours group ?..UB Guesthouse tours? or what??
I remember that the costs was daily around 24-28euro. it was more cheaper than I thought and this tour agent has lots of people to share the costs.
One tip for you, do not bring any camping gear because they provide you all ones including tents,sleeping bags and stove and so on without any charge...good deal for us.

Regarding the price: this is the individual tour and we would like to see the sites we chose, but unfortunately there is no agency that has exactly the same itinerary. Therefore it will cost a little extra, but we like to be on the safe side. I know that there are a lot of agencies on the spot when you arrive to UB, but if you choose to go with them, there is a lot of adaptation to be done. The more people travel on one tour the less it costs, of course. If you have an exact idea of what you would like to see, like we do, and as well if you are limited in time, individual tour is probably a much better choice. For our tour the price for more than 4 people drops even more, which in the end would cost us just about as much as 30-35EUR per day (5-6 persons).

We hope someone will like our itinerary and decide to share the costs.
