There are so many Koreans working in Mongolia, I'd think there are direct flights, why don't you do a quick check with Korean Air?

Korean Air is one of 4 air carriers that service Ulan Bator. The others are MIAT, Air China and Aeroflot.

Mongolia only has international border crossings with China (1 crossing) and with Russia (3 crossing points).
