You may WANT russia transit visa & yes I want Russian transit visas because I cannot spent 10-12 hours at SVO doing nothing. In fact I am going to plan Russia tour next year between June ~ August for 25 days. I will travel by Trans-siberian train (Vladivostok ~ St Petsburg) with some stopovers in between.

Sorry I can't always keep track of who asks what questions. Yes, given that you have 10-12 hours between flights, a Russian transit visa is a good idea as there isn't much to do or see in SVO.

employment certificate (in original) from my current company with stamp and signed by authoried person & mentioning in it my position, company joining date, salary, intention to visit mongolia,
visa charge for Indian passport holders –
(Free for 3 working days processing) &
(Indian Rs. 2000 for processing in 1 working day)
I decided for free visa since I got spare time in New Delhi and visited world famous ‘Taj Mahaal’ at Agra. Two birds in one stone.
On 10 May, 2010 I got my visa containing stamp and signed by authorised person of embassy. Atleast one blank passport page in needed for visa sticker.
