Which sand dune is better??? I´ve seen that tour companies and guesthouses on their respective websites offer you either one or the other when you take a specific days tour (normally Moltsog Els is offered when taking a short trip and the other one on a longer trip). Are there substantial differences between one dune and the other? Is one bigger or more imposing than the other? Are they far one of each other? Which one you recommend to see the most? Hope you can share me your thoughts/experiences if you´ve been in both so I can decide which tour I´d take. CHEERS.

Khongor Sand dunes are 80 km long, 5 km wide and in places you climb up to 200 m. Moltsog Els, I think you are talking about the one near Khustai National Park which I didn't even think were dunes.

As longrider said there is no comparison really. Khongorin Els are spectacular - high, long with great views from the top. If you aren't going to travel down to the Gobi then Moltog Els are worth a look but they aren't in the same league.

They are a long way from each other.
