Does anyone know if the border crossing with China and Mongolia at Bulgan is open for use by foreigners? There are accounts of it being used in previous years on this forum, but I can't find anything else listed and all other information seems to be telling me its shut.

If it is open does anyone know if it is open year round or if it is seasonal?

open all the year. you can also see on mongolian embassy and also on my webpages as we went 6 times there and maybe find some more contact and information to have a wonderful trip in Mongolia www.terramongolia.com

I'm in Mongolia heading towards that border. I've met people coming the other way from China that have crossed within the last few weeks no problem. I'll let you know if I have any trouble crossing into China
