I've heard some good things about OTAM tours on the Mongolia thread, but when I try to reach the company, they are nowhere to be found. They don't respond to e-mails or either phone number listed on their website. I've been trying for weeks. This is a bad sign already.
I'm an independent traveler and really need a service like this instead of a jeep tour.
Thoughts?
OTAM is new. They opened last summer. Several thoughts.
Where are you located now? Did you take into consideration local time?
When did you write them? over the weekend? perhaps during the winter/spring they aren't operating on the weekends. Did the email bounce back? If not, perhaps you simply need to give them some time to respond.
Perhaps they are on vacation because it is low season. Perhaps there is little need for this type of service until summer.
I can think of lots of reasons for not getting a response as quickly as you hoped but do keep us posted.

That's strange. I had a totally different experience. I emailed them regarding the Gobi Tour and they responded it almost immediately and provided me all the information. I said I was interested and they replied (again next day) confirming the booking.
I dont know which email you are using, but I have been communicating with them through the following email: [booking@otamecotours.com]
It really seems like the best option for independent travellers. I am traveling in July. If you are traveling afterwards, I can let you know how my experience was with them

I finally heard from them - they said that they were having internet problems. Anyway, I just posted information about a special tour (6-day Gobi tour July 28-Aug 2) that they are willing to add for me, based on my timing.
