Extending Visa in Mongolia

Hi there,

I'm a Canadian citizen and am wondering if any Canadian citizens (or anyone) have extended a visa for more than an extra 30 days in Mongolia? I want to be in Mongolia for 2 and a half months, but the embassy here gives me 30 days and I can extend another 30 days in Mongolia, but those extra two weeks are my problem.

The embassy suggested getting a two entry visa, and another visa to China or Russia and go there for a couple weeks, but this is an expensive process, which I'd like to avoid.

Do you know if I will be able to extend for an extra 45 days? It's less than 3 months in total so I hope it's possible. Pls let me know if you know!

Also, if anyone is planning on being around Mongolia between May 11 - July 22 and want to meet up, let me know!

Hi,
If get the tourist visa, you can extend more 30 days. Contact to tour operator, they will help you.

Completely off from the topic of visa, but I'm looking to do some travel out of Ulaan Baatar specifically between 19-25th of May (very specific time frame because I'm in between work) and would love for some company along the way. Let me know if you're interested! ;)
