Digital repair

Hi,
This is probably a long shot but my Canon 40D SLR has decided to malfunction. It has to be the shutter which is the most frustrating part as it renders the body and lenses inoperable. Does any one know of a repair outfit in Ulaan Baatar or even Olgii (as I'm heading there next ) where they know how to deal with digital rather than open it up like a bad magician and give you lots of separate pieces back that somehow they don't think belonged there. Here's praying and cussing Canon at the same time..........
