It seems that going to Kawaguchiko is only worth it when Mt Fuji is actually visible. In that case, I've researched that it's best to go in the early morning and to check the cloud forecast one day before.
Well, problem is that we plan to take the bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko, and there is the risk of there not being available seats early in the morning if I don't reserve them beforehand. Me and a friend plan to go there on October 7th (our other possible option being October 21st).

At the end of several weeks in Japan we'll have 4 nights somewhere on north or central Kyushu before we spend a last night in Fukuoka. We're looking for a nice base to stay, without needing to cross off all the island's sights. Is Nagasaki a relaxed enough city, and any ideas for nice daytrips? Or perhaps Kumamoto with 1-2 daytrips into the mountains? Or any peaceful towns/villages near these two that are good as a base? Thanks for any suggestions.

My mom and my 2 kids(3/7 yrs) and myself are going to Osaka(hotel in Ebisunishi) on10/7(arrive at night)-10/10, then go to Hakone(hotel in Gora) 10/10-12, after that we’re heading to Tokyo 10/12-15(leave at 3pm, Haneda). this’s first time in Osaka and Hakone, i very need help with the itinerary on my trip as well as the transportations, could anyone plan some idea? If you are planning a trip in that area, look ahead for whatever damage still exists from the earthquake (M6.7) a few days ago. Epicenter was near Tomakomai and knocked out all power and phones on the entire island for about 46 hours.
