Hi All,
I went and booked a twin room for 13 nights in the akasaka prince hotel with opodo but as always the holiday fever took over and didn't take too much notice to the additional charges.
I have done this now and notice a few charges that have confused me a bit. When I finished the order with opodo and it said it will be £780 for the 13 nights.
Can anyone explain the charges below as I thought they would have been part of the total cost of £790 when I confirmed the order on opodo. I dont plan…
Hi,
Does anyone have a suggested intinery for the must see's of Kyoto in a day? We will be there on the 3rd May (I know its Golden Week and will be busy so am trying to be organised). We would be intrested in seeing some temples and other things of interest.
Thanks
Does anyone know of a viable way to travel to Ulaanbaatar from Tokyo? I've got some flight prices, cheapest coming in at £465 (roughly $930, oneway) but surely there's another, cheaper way? Anyone had any experience of it?
The problem i envisage is the cost to leave Tokyo, for a ferry port in the north will probably mean the cost works out the same as the flight from Tokyo to UB? Naturally, i'm on a budget... what would you do?
Chrs,
Ant
We're looking for a place to stay in Nara for a night. We haven't had any luck. Anyone have any recommendations? We'd like to stay in a Ryokan. And we want to pay around $100 a night for both of us.
We will also spend our last night in Osaka and would appreciate any recommendations there as well. We'd like to have a fun night out that night, so something maybe close to some fun nightlife would be great!
Thanks!
Hi,
I'll be arriving in Tokyo for a 6 day stay somewhere in late July. Can anyone recommend me a 3/4 star hotel with a good location?
And i was wondering also if you guys could help me with good places to visit in Tokyo for my 6 days stay.
Thanks!
How would one get specific things from the U.S. in Japan?
I have an acquaintance who lives in Kobe as a JET teacher wants me to mail him TEN STICKS of OldSpice Deodorant ...because as we all know, Japanese deodorant is pretty weak.
I would like to help him, but the truth is, I've already done this once before and he didn't thank me or offer to pay for the costs.
I don't know if I want to do it again.
For those who live in Japan, can someone tell me how you might order from websites to have those…
This is the latest establishment in K on the budget side – the opening day is apr 28.
It is located close to Kyoto Station: Kita- Kinuta 8, NIshi-Nanajyo,, Shimogyo-ku,
If you are in K, will you check up how it looks like?
This is a small town in, I think, a district of Kawasaki, and, according to FAQ #49, a place to start lifting for western Japan. From T there is a highway bus to Shizuoka that stops in M, just past T toll gates. The weak point of it is that you may get on this bus only if there are free seats left i.e. not reserved. The risk is that there are not such ones. (If you say I also should make a reservation you probably don’t understand the essence of hitchhiking :-)) I wander then if there is any…
Dear All,
We will arrive in Tokyo in the morning of 24 April and have 12 days to look around Japan. We will fly out on 5 May. I have been reading about all these exciting places and some places are not that popular such as Sapporo. I have read about Kyoto and Osaka where these places still maintain their traditionalism. We have not done much research on Japan as this trip is rather last minute. Suddenly there were some cheap flight tickets and we grabbed them.
Need some recommendation on the…
Hi all.
I am returning to Japan for 2 weeks in June. Loved it last time and went to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Mt Koya (the last of which is a buddist cemetery on, obviously, Mt Koya. I would recommend that it is an awsome trip for anyone during the winter snow. Just amazing).
On my return my girlfriend and I land in Osaka and have decided that we well go straight to Kobe for 3 nights then to Tokyo for 10 where we have a fair few friends. This is pretty locked in.
I'm looking for pretty…
