Can anyone provide me with good, reliable directions to Kujuukuri hama or at least a good, reliable website that provides said directions? I will be leaving from Shibuya. I tried a couple of years ago to get there with directions from the internet and the directions led me as far as Inobusaki and then they just sort of petered out. That is, they got me as far as the train station and then simply assumed that I would know where to go from there. I ended up on a rocky beach - certainly…

We're planning a trip to Japan for 3 1/2 weeks this summer (we're teachers so are tied to the school holidays) but are used to spending the summer in Asia. I'm also pregnant so we would rather see fewer places well that try to pack too much in.

My current thoughts for an itinerary:

Fly to Tokyo 2-3 days

Then get a JR railpass to do:

Kyoto (7 days) from where we could visit:
Nara
Himeji-ji
Osaka
Koya-san
Ise-shima (overnight stay?)

Hiroshima (2 days)

Kumamoto (4 days) and visit
Bebbu
Ao-san

Planning a 10 day trip to Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka at the end of May with 2 friends.

Our plan is to be in Tokyo for 5-6 nights, then to Osaka and Kyoto for 3-4 nights, and then back to Tokyo. Our duration of time in each city is not set but that is what we are thinking right now. We have our accommodation in Tokyo set up but nothing for Kyoto/Osaka yet. Hi everyone! We have just returned from our 3 week holiday through Japan, so i just thought i would share some of our experiences ect.
itinery; Tokyo, kakunodate, akita, hiroshima, kyoto, osaka, tokyo, takayama (spring festival), nagoya, tokyo. So, we were quite busy but we got to see a lot of the country, temples, cities and their individual styles etc. Had a 14 day JR rail pass, wonderful value.

hi i brought my sony ericsson w700i with me...is it possible to get a sim card here and go on pre paid...at first i though not but now i:m sot so sure, i:ve gone into some shops and as i don:t speak any japanese i:m told i can:t be helped with my phone but i think it:s just specific to that shop. so if i can do that here...just get sim card and be connected can somebody tell me where in tokyo...like what shop you did it ...something like that.

Heading to Japan for 5 days from 15 June and hoping to climb Mt Fuji. I am reading mixed reviews re weather/season etc. Any advice????

Also does anyone know any tour company that operates during this period, to save doing it independantly.
