I've put a UK phone and address in (with zeros in the numbers-only Zip Code field because UK Zip Codes contain letters too). Hello. I'd like to plan this drive around April 1. No one can predict weather, but i don't have an idea of the typical weather across this road at that time of the year. I saw online the "Alpine Route" is a no-go at this time, and Rt 158 seems to cross the same mountain range.
So i'm not sure if 80% chance road should be clear, no special tires needed, or the opposite, etc.

We are going to Japan in April with a one year old baby, and as part of the trip, planning to visit the Japan Alps.
We are looking for a small town to base ourselves for around 5 days for some day hikes and relaxing. We were thinking of Hirayu Onsen or Nozawa Onsen. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice, especially as it's still early in the season.

Our research indicates that It is worth our while to purchase a rail pass. We are thinking of purchasing the cheaper standard pass.
Would we be wiser to buy the more costly 1st class ticket? Do the benefits warrant the extra cost?

I will visit Chatan-cho Okinawa next month for a couple of days on the way to another destination. I am staying in a hotel near American Village, and I don't want to rent a car.
I am researching snorkeling tour companies servicing Cape Maeda (Blue Cave) and the Kerama Islands. However, many of these tour companies are based in Onna or Naha area. It would cost me at least JPY3500 to get to Naha by taxicab from Chatan. I'm not sure how far Onna is from Chatan.
