Hey everyone!

I'm staying in Tokyo for the next week and was wondering if the murals from Pow! Wow!, that were installed on Tennōzu Isle, along Bond Street are still around. All of the posts I've seen are from last year, so I'm not sure if they still exist. I've also looked on their website https://www.e-tennoz.com/en/ and found nothing, but maybe I just missed it. If anyone knows, it would greatly appreciated and would help me decide my daily itineraries. Thanks!

Well, that's a shame :/ After reading an article http://www.spoon-tamago.com/2016/06/09/explore-the-street-art-and-murals-of-tokyos-tennozu-isle/, I was really excited. I would think that would be great for tourism, if they had remained :( Thanks for the info!

Yeah I was surprised that they were gone. There have been a lot of other developments on Tennoz recently though - a new photography gallery opened just last week, and there are new shops and event spaces along the canal on the west side of the island, with waterfront events most weekends, and the Archi-Depot architecture gallery is always worth a visit. Also there's a big group show currently on at the Terrada Art complex (technically just across the canal from Tennoz) in addition to the regular galleries there. So it might be worth a visit anyway....

Thanks for the heads up, but I think I'll swing through anyway and check it out (since Tennoz is quite small). You wouldn't happen to know anywhere in the city, where I could go Mural spotting, do you? I know Tokyo is a bit conservative compared to other major cities, but any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Yes, it's worth a trip to Tennoz in my opinion. (Although I hear the photography gallery is rather hit-or-miss.)

As far as outdoor murals, the only one I can think of offhand is on the building housing Zubar, a DJ bar in Ebisu. I know I see others from time to time, but I can't remember any specific ones offhand.
