Hay Ty to all of you who hellped out on my last one but there is some more thing I would like to ask. Can someone tell me if there is a place that I can dump most of stuff at. I know the JR lockers are empted at the end of the day and it should be a full 24hrs befor I would be back so you know if there are longer one's say at the Mt or so on Plz do tell And one more thing is there a lot of bathrooms on the way up? and drinking beer on the way up I know you can drink in public but is it in bad taste to do so? I just do not wont to piss of the locals TY agen for all you hellp

There are toilets outside some of the rest houses, some of them reek horribly of ammonia and are generally unpleasant but they are toilets.

As for drinking beer on the way up, it is a really hard slog which takes you to quite an altitude and drinking isn't really recommended if you want to avoid altitude sickness. People also die every year on the mountain, some after accidentally going off trail and falling- you really want all your wits about you.
If I were you I would save the beer for the celebration once you get down.

I doubt you will offend anyone by drinking on the way up as it's common to drink in public in Japan, but you will surprise a few people for the above reasons.

I have never heard of JR emptying lockers at the end of the day.<BR><BR>I am sure you can leave things there over night. <BR>

Agreed! I've often seen lockers running up tabs of at least a couple thousand yen. If you're only gone 24 hours, I wouldn't foresee any problems.

I'm also with karandavasana - would not recommend drinking alcohol on your way up. Focus on the climb first, celebrate later.
