Hi everyone
I would like to visit an onsen in Kurokawa. Can anyone recommend one? Also, it seems a bit out of the way (well, off the main route from Tokyo-Kyoto). Is it easy enough to get to from Hiroshima? Thanks for your help.

Yes it is off the beaten path by a long shot. Kurokawa Onsen is way far from Hiroshima. You need to get down to Kyushu first, maybe Fukuoka. Then take a second train and a bus.
I wanted to visit there once but saw it was a pain to get to and from what I hear it is over priced if you want to stay.
There are many other good places to visit in Kyushu.
Look at going to Yufuin instead. Yea it is a touristy place but I found it fun to rent and ride a bike around there and it is easy to get to. You need to change trains twice from Fukuoka but it is easy. There is an awesome outdoor bath there.
