I will be in Tokyo soon and spending a weekend there with my wife. Anyone knows a nice hotel near Shinjuku, say around 150 USD ? We want some good food, shopping and maybe a couple of drinks evening, is Shinjuku the place to be for a weekend ?
We've lived in Asia past 15 years and are mid 40's, now 10 years in Singapore. I've been in Japan many times on business trips but never had a free weekend in Tokyo hence the questions.

Shinjuku Washington Hotel is very nice. Stayed there in January.

I also stayed at Shinjuku Washington and recommend it. I booked it through Asia Rooms, and got the airport bus direct to its door step.

Kadoya Hotel near the post office. Quiet street, nice rooms though bathrooms a bit small. Clean and 5 mins from Shinjuju station. When I was there (4 weeks ago) it was about $80 for a double room
