We are headed to Japan for our honeymoon, starting our trip in Tokyo. We were wanting to stay in traditional style accomodation - ie ryokan, and were looking for suggestions for a nice place to stay that was central to all Tokyo sites. Price is flexible - its our honeymoon! Thanks in advance.

A slightly upscale ryokan, well used to foreign travellers and with all mod cons is Ryokan Shigetsu in Asakusa. There is a large bath on the top floor with terrific views. 5 min from nearest subway station (Asakusa on Ginza and Toei Asakusa lines) and is situated in the older part of Tokyo with the famous Senso-ji temple on your doorstep. Lots of eating places and traditional craft shops. Also a starting point for a trip to Nikko (Tobu line), which is a magical place with the famous Toshogu shrine (mausoleum for the Tokugawa shoguns), waterfalls, lakes, hills etc.
