My headphones have developed a rather annoying sub-bass rattle, I guess it's time to buy some new ones. I'm thinking a pair of Sennheiser PCX300 Noise Cancelling headphones or similar. I was going to buy a pair before i leave Australia on August 9, but seeing as I'm going to Tokyo, would I be better off waiting until I get there?

They RRP at about $350AUD/37,212JPY in Australia. Anyone know roughly how much they'd set me back in Tokyo?

Around 25,000 yen tops, in electronic shops like Yodobashi and Biccamera, though I've seen as low as 16,800 yen on mail order. You may get 10-15% in rebate points, redeemable against future purchases (usually from next day if you get a new points card). You will probably only get Japan-only warranty, so make sure you use it extensively and return when an early fault develops - to the same chain, not necessarily where you bought. You should get a brand-new replacement.
