We want to bike the shimanami kaido with our 2 children next week. They are 7 and 11 years old.
What options for bikes do we have?
Can we rent 2 tandem bikes? Or are there other solution for children?
We are from Holland so biking is in our genes!

There are tandem bicycles to rent, but you have to return them at the same place that you rent them out. I think it's very unlikely that you'll be able to take a tandem bicycle (or most likely, any bicycle) on a bus. So if you get tandems, you'll have to cycle the route in both directions.
Alternatively, they appear to have bicycles for children. The official website lists children's bicycle prices at any rate.
