I'm trying to find accommodation for a week in Tokyo that has a kitchen and washer/dryer etc and possibly even 2 bedrooms so that our family (husband, wife & toddler) can stay with another family (husband, wife & baby). So far I can only find apartments with 2 weeks minimum stay.
Is it possible to rent an apartment in Tokyo for one week only? or does anyone know of alternatives that allow for the above mentioned amenities?
thanks

There are places known as monthly mansions (mansion in Japanese is very different in meaning from English!) which rent apartments by the week, but these tend to be smaller apartments.
Leo Palace 21 is one company that springs to mind and there are others. Do an internet search for monthly mansion and see how you get on.
Staying in one of these places now, although moving to more permanent accommodation in a couple of days. The place I am in has a single bed, washing machine, fridge, internet connection, microwave, tv etc.

Hi,
Is money an issue? If no, check these website, they propose very nice apartment but there are not cheap. (I currently stay in one...). There are some which are available from 1 day or 1 week. However, if you stay less than one month, it will be expensive, as you have to pay a tax (included in the quoted price):

good luck

None of the temporary apartments are cheap, but they are certainly cheaper than hotels etc.
This place costs about 120000 yen a month all inclusive.

Oakwood has many apartment buildings at the luxury end in Tokyo and they will rent for a week. Cost about Y20,000 a day depending on location but very nice units.

previous link: 210'000 yen a week, for a 2 bedrooms 90square meters apartment in Azabu Juban. not too bad...
( i make two post, cause I got a warning message that TT do not like my post...)

thanks all for your replies. Just wondering, a lot of the apartments on these sites, including the oakwood ones say 14 days or 1 month minimum stay. Is it possible to request a week's stay?
thanks marti22 for your link. the place looks great. the floor plan has a double bed and a single. does your apartment have one double bed or two doubles?
