I am currently living in Shijiazhuang. I bought a monthly subscription at Unicom. Now I am planning to travel in China, and planning to leave overland from Kashgar in a few months. I cannot go back to Hebei to cancel my subscription, but would like keep using my subscription while travelling.

So far I found that many dont have had any problems, but those were prepaid plans. Anyone experience what would happen if I dont cancel and go back to China and want a new Unicom Simcard if I simply stop…

I am trying to plan 14 days in China (excluding travel in/out) from Oct 25th to November 9th. I'm flying into Beijing and intend to head south/ south west and exit via Kunming or Guangzhou. My onward destination is Hanoi so these two airports suit me best. I'm struggling to decide on what to do for the final 8 days or so. In terms of means of travel, night trains are my preference to save time, then flights, then bus.

Route so far:
Beijing x 4 days 26th-29th Oct
Night train to Xi'an
Xi'an x 1 day…

I'm looking for information on how to travel to Yangjiaping--this one is west of Beijing in Huailai County (I think).

Any information or leads will be appreciated.

I would like to get some advice about possible routes to do in Guilin area. We are travelling to China this summer and we have some doubts about different itineraries to do in the area of Guilin. We have five days to spend here, as we are going to Hong Kong after.

We want for sure to go to longsheng rice terraces (1 day) but then we are not sure which is the best itinerary.
First option would be to go to Chengyuang and Zhaoxing 2 days, come back to Guilin to take a boat to…

Is it feasible to set up a temporary bank account with a Chinese bank account in China? I'll be in China for 2-3 weeks and would like to use wechatpay/alipay.
But if it's too much of a hassle, never mind, let's just forget about this.

Is it possible to do this hike independently? If so, where exactly is the point and how do I get there from Beijing to the starting point and back from the end? I'll be traveling alone in November, so I assume joining a group might be difficult and a 1 pax tour expensive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Are there any over night buses or trains that travel from Thailand to China? Are they safe? It’ll be my first time in China, looking to spend up to a week there, as a mini break from Thailand. What are people’s must do / see while there, any town, any ideas or experiences
Thanks

Hello Everyone!

I am visiting China for work next week and would have a full day in Changzhou to myself.

I am looking for suggestions on how I can spend my time on that day. I am interested in history, culture and photography.

One of the things in my bucket list is sailing on the Yangtze. Are there regular ferries/boats for tourists I can take for a few hours?
