Will be in Chengdu in December and planning on making a trip to Tibet.
What is it like to go there in December? And can anyone recommend a tour company that do a short 4 day trip including permits to go to Tibet?

we will be flying into Bejing in a few weeks and spend 2 month traveling around. I need several parts for my bike and phone that I cannot get here in Mongolia. However, I found them online on Chinese websites. Is there a way to send them to a post office preferably in Beijing? Our hotel did not answer to my request so I am looking for different options now. If it is possible, what is the adress?

I’m trying to submit by visa application as I travel on Nov 22. However, I can’t book my exit train yet because the booking doesn’t open until 7 Nov for a 7 Dec train. I’m exiting from Guilin via high speed train to Shenzhen. I’ll then cross the border and take the metro to HK airport for flight back to the UK.

Does anyone have any advice please? Shall I wait until Nov 7 to book my exit train and then do my Visa or is this cutting it a little too fine?

Finally, by good fortune I'm going to be in Hong Kong for Chinese New Year, have been there around it a couple of times but not on it!! .As I am only there for New Year's Day and eve and the next three days I'm a bit worried about shops and restaurants and markets being closed. Nothing really planned other than wandering about and a trip to Cheung Chau island.

Your comments and advice would ll be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys, I am new here and this is my first post.
I will be flying from Frankfurt to Sydney over Shanghai Pudong with China Eastern.
My question is: As both legs are flown by China Eastern, will I still have to recheck my bags in Shanghai? And if so can I do this immediately? I have a 12 hour layover and don't really want to wait until a few hours prior to my flight leaving, would much rather wait wt the gate with all the formalities dealt with.

Planning a 2 week trip to China in March. My friend will be joining for this section and potentially flying home from Dali (not yet booked).

I’m planning an overland trip through Central Asia (April 2018) into Mongolia and finishing in Beijing. I am a British Passport holder, and I understand that the Chinese Visa is only valid for 3 months after acceptance.
