Has anyone used www.9588.com</a> for booking air tickets in China?
The prices are the same as elong.net (discounts greatest around 2 weeks before departure), but what makes them different is that the site says foreign credit card are accepted and that etickets are issued.
Any feedback welcome.
Talking of elong.net, has anyone noticed that the example name when booking a flight is John Thomas Smith.
Looks like someone was having a bit of fun when doing the English version!
Back to the www.9588.com, are they like elong.net (for credit cards someone will phone you, for etickets, you pick them up at the airport), or are they real etickets with real online payment?

I sent an inquiry to them a few months back, never heard from them (and I live in Beijing and left a Beijing phone humber in addition to email contact). The non-response didn't exactly inspire my confidence. For now, I will abstain from using them and will let someone else be the guinea pig.
I used them once for return tickets from Beijing to Shanghai. It is real e-tickets, so you just check in with your passport and cc. Negative: when you use cc, you have to pay 5% extra. Tickets were fine, same price as elong.net and ctrip.com
Thanks for the feedback.
Seems many travel companies charge a surcharge for credit card payment.
Yes, same with many Hong Kong travel agencies and with European airlines such as Ryan and Easyjet.
Other airlines such as Oasis and Cathay don't charge a surcharge (yet) for using a credit card though.

I've booked tickets with them 10 times. Nine times were absolutely spot on, no problem. Tenth time - well, haven't gone on the trip yet, but I'm expecting a smooth journey again in 2 weeks.
Also - I have emailed them several times and always had really quick replies. Good Luck.

I have used them several times, I also have used Elong a few times, and yoee.com a few times. I have found the 9588.com service to be much better. When you call and need to talk to someone in English it is not a problem. I helped a friend coming from the states to visit book a ticket to connect from Beijing to where I am. Then he missed his flight to Beijing due to weather and thus missed his China connection. I called the agent and they actually understood the situation and changed his ticket no problem. My experience with Elong has been been quite different. I have had trouble getting English service and then when I do I have had trouble getting them to understand what I am saying. Thankfully I speak Chinese so I can get the point across. All this to say that I would definately recommend them over elong and yoee. The tickets are e-tickets and all you need to check in is your passport and CC. Like was already mentioned if you pay by card then there is a 5% surcharge but this is pretty standard here.
