Hi everyone!

I am making my own trip to Chengdu and I would like to know from you guys if this sounds interesting.

I am 20 years old and pretty adventurous. The trip would be in groups from 5-10 persons. The trip would be 7 days long. These are some of the activities I planned: a food tour, a city walk, visit some temples, an excursion to see the pandas and also an excursion to the big buddha.

These activities should be possible to do the whole year round.

Would you guys go on this trip to Chengdu or do you know more activities I could do there?

If you have anything to add or change to make it better, feel free to tell me.

Thanks!

The big buddha is not in Chengdu, it is in Leshan, another city in Sichuan
Personally I find Chengdu rather dull, with other destinations in Sichuan being more interesting.

Much of the city burned during the cultural revolution, so a 'city walk' tour is of little interest. You will find better temples outside Chengdu.
Chengdu's famous food scene has been overblown and turned into a Disneyland like environment for tourists on food tours. Unless you really know what you are looking for you will probably find better Sichuan food outside Chengdu than in it.

The thing is that I really want to visit Chengdu and not another city in Sichuan. I have made a daylplanning that I can show you. Maybe than you will find it more interesting or give me more activities if you would like. I want to go there but ofcourse I don't want it to be boring. Aren't there more fun things to do in Chengdu?
And so the foodtour is not a good idea than?

I have had a couple of trips to Chengdu and rather liked it. But we didn't do the things on your lust apart from the pandas. It was a pleasant city to walk around with some interesting temples. If you can, find an old style tea house frequented by locals and just sit and enjoy the atmosphere.
