also, i recommend Tiger Leaping Gorge north of Lijiang in Yunnan Province, and i also recommend Kashgar and Taxgorkan in Western Xinjiang Province. I thought Xishuangbanna was a big disappointment but the city of Jinghong within the Xishaungbanna area was pleasant and its nice to go out into the country side to see the Dai peoples villages and temples. Zhangjiajie in Hunan province was expensive (245kaui entrance fee and 53 kuai for oneway on a cable car). Sichuan province is beautiful i highly recommend Sichuan province above all else. CHengdu is amazing, and Western and Northern Sichuan is beautiful mountainous terrain. Xi'an is nice the terracotta warriors are historically interesting and the city itself is nice to walk about, especially within the old city walls. I was disappointed by Shanghai, being hassled if i want a hooker constantly got on my nerves. i recommend the following provinces: Sichuan, Yunnan, Xinjiang, and Sha'anxi.
