kaiping to shenhen

Hello,

I want to travel on 12 sept from Kaiping to Chaozhou.
Best option seem to catch the high speed train of the new Maoming-Shenzhen line, according to internet it should at least running till Jiameng.
But i can't find any time shedule / train number / reservation info, at least in English.
Does somebody know if the Maoming-Shenzhen high speed train is indeed already running?

Take bus from KAIPING TO ZHONGSHAN, then take G trains to Chaozhou.

Unfortunately, the high speed railway line between Szenzhen to Maoming route is not yet operational. Once this line is operational, it will connect Kaiping with the Chinese railway system, but so far you have to rely on buses only.

In my opinion, the best option is to do the following:

• Take a bus from the centrally located Kaiping bus station (here: https://www.google.hr/maps/place/Kaiping+Station/@22.365816,112.6875645,15.97z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x830bd9b4bbd88c8d!8m2!3d22.3656867!4d112.6898742 ) directly to Guangzhou South Railway Station (广州南). This is by far the most convenient. This centrally located bus station is locally known also as Changsha Bus Station. Never mind, it is important that you take a direct bus to the railway station. It takes just about 2 hours to the mentioned Guangzhou railway station and you don't have to bother with a transfer from the bus to railway station.

• From Guangzhou South Railway Station take a high speed train to the station called Chaoshan. You will see very wide choice of D and G trains between the two mentioned stations. Chaoshan railway station (潮汕 - https://www.google.hr/maps/place/%E6%BD%AE%E6%B1%95/@23.5589856,116.5176466,24098m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x3411c8958170b217:0x2d8ede5828e373de!2sChaoshan+Railway+Station+South+Square+Parking+Lot!8m2!3d23.537475!4d116.587734!3m4!1s0x3411c8eb675716e5:0xdeb2683c1db8e591!8m2!3d23.5431468!4d116.5830866 ) is situated a bit outside Chaozhou because it serves three cities: Chaozhou, Shantou and Jieyang.

It is very easy to get from Chaoshan railway station to Chaozhou. You should just take Express Bus Line number 1 that goes all the way to Qiaodong bus station in Chaouzhou or Express Bus Line number 2 that goes all the way to Nanditou station in Chaouzhou. Booth of these express bus lines cost 8 CNY and they depart every 30 - 40 minutes from the railway station toward Chaozhou city center. So, you don't have to rely on taxis.
