hi,

due to the fact i am going home by bike i have few more question.

i am planing to do the route kumning - dali- lhasa on my way. planing to be in kumning middle of may and to take me 5 to 6 weeks. is that to late? how bad is the rain season at the end of may and june?

i heard that the border to silkimis open now. do you have any information if i could got inian visa at the border or is there any indian consulat at west china?

if i will need to be at kuming earlier i will need to take train or bus...can i transport bike on trains in china?

You can check on the bike branch if you can do that route in five to six weeks.

I have read on this branch that the Sikkim border is only for Chinese and Indians, not for foriegners. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

It would be a lull before rainy season at the end of May and June ...
Yes ,you can transport bike on trains or buses (except those without rack), but you will need have to pay some extra for it.

Not possible for you to use the border at Sikkim at all unless you're an Indian or Chinese national.
Yes, you can transport bikes on the trains in China.
