Thanks Ruth and Xiao, now anyone recommmend the best guide book for X'ian, Tibet, Zhondian? THis site is amazing!

LP China covers all three of these places, but you may want to buy an LP Tibet for more specific detail on the Tibet Autonomous Region. Footprints Tibet is another good guidebook to have. It covers all of Greater Tibet (all of the Tibetan areas in China including those outside of the TAR like Zhongdian).

LP China is good when travelling to lots of regions. There's not much on Zhongdian. It's best to buy LP Tibet nad gather some key infos on the two other areas.
