Could someone let me know if the following trip is doable in the period DEC- FEB.

I would like to do the loop: Delhi- Mussorie- Rishikesh- Joshimath- Nainital- Agra- Delhi

What is the minimum number of days to do this trip?
Do I risk to encounter snow or the roads taken are at low elevation and it wil be OK

Where to better stop in order to have nice views on the mountains and enjoy nice and soft day walks: Mussorie, Joshimath, Auli, Nainital?

Which kind of clothes do I need?

We are arriving in Delhi on our way to emmigrating in New Zealand. We will have alot more stuff than i want to lug round north India and Nepal. We are basically wondering if anyone knows of anywhere where we can lock a rucksack up for a couple of months and know that it will be safe and all there when we return?

Just booked to head to Goa this Saturday for 1 week. Been to India 3 times before but not been to Goa. Booked a package hol direct to make use of hotel at beginning and end of trip but wish to go off and explore. Not into the whole clubbing scene. Just interested in gentle exploratory activities.

I am planning to Backpack around India this June..(I know not the best time for weather but thats when work gives me the time off).

I plan on going to Kolkata, Varanasi, Agra, Goa, Delhi, Mumbai..
Has anyone stayed in any hostels etc in these areas. The pics on the net make these places look very dodgey to hostels I've stayed everywhere else in the world. Or is it better to just stay in the midrange style accommodation.

My husband and I will be in India during October/November and plan to spend most of the time in Kerala (we've previously travelled through the north of India).

We plan to land in Chennai then train it down to Kerala. I don't know exactly where in Kerala we'll start our journey. I've tried looking on the Indian Rail schedule but ended up getting more confused than when I'd started (my fault, not the website).

So I've got this great little route sketched out in my head. India to Pakistan, along the KKM highway into China, down to Tibet, across to Nepal and then back to India. I've got 6 months or so, and I've tried to research how realistic this is. I'm wondering if anyone has done a simliar trip? The challenging part seems to be the section from Kashgar to Tibet.
