Hi, I have a couple of questions for you helpful people out there :)

1. I have done a search on here and from what I gather I can get from Goa airport to Palolem by taxi in around 1.5 hours at a cost of 1000-1500 rupees. Is this information still correct? Will it cost less/more? I am arriving at 3pm and would like to get to palolem and into accommodation before dark. Does this sound do-able?

Hi, I am planning a trip to the Andaman Islands, but I heard that the sandflies are really bad at Havelock Island. Is that true? Would love to hear a word from somebody who has been there.

Question of India Visa ?

I will fly to Delhi and stay one week , then fly to Kathmandu for trekking 2 weeks , on my return home i have to fly from KTM to Delhi and change FLT fly home , Do i need a Transit Visa , i won't go out of the Airport ? Of course i applied my toursit Visa already for my entering Delhi .

I am arriving at Mumbai at midday on a Saturday, and want to go to Goa pretty much immediately.

My questions are as follows:
- is it necessary to book one's internal flight from Mumbai in advance or is it perfectly easy to get one at the airport? (I know 5 or 6 airlines do regular flights on this route)
- How far is the domestic airport from the international airport? (ie how much time should I allow from landing to leaving for Goa?)

First: get a transit visa and arrange a night in a Delhi hotel
Second: spend the night at the Delhi airport waiting for the flight

have been travelling india for the last month with a friend and
due to unforseen events he must leave me. im at present in calcutta,
this is my first trip to india, i know alot of people are out travelling alone
but im not so sure about it, i would be grateful for an advice or tips on travelling
alone in india, being a female traveller obviously my biggest worry is safety.
