Hi everyone,
My friend and I are thinking of walking the trek to muldai and poon hill in the next few days.
We are after the Everest camp + 3 passes so just looking for something short and light. We wanted to ask if anyone has done this trek solo? And if so how are the prices in the villages and also how did you get to the area (local bus/jeep/tourist bus etc..)

Thank you!

Hi all
We are travelling to Sri Lanka in February with two small children (6 months and 3 years at time of travel) and would like recommendations for a safe (hopefully not-too-crowded) beach at that time of year without riptides or too much surf. We were thinking Mirissa or maybe somewhere in the area around Bentota.
Other kid-friendly suggestions in Sri Lanka would be very welcome.
Thanks

Hello,

I have noticed the flights from Bhutan are super expensive. So I want to travel till Bagdogra Airport by road. I notice there are buses between Thimphu to Phuntsholing, so if they are good, I am open to them.

My main question is what about from Jaigaon till Airport. Are their shared taxis available, or how much private taxi cost? Also how long it takes to reach Airport from Jaigaon by taxi?

Hello TT, we are traveling back through India from Bhutan and have about 10 days to spend in India. We are debating whether to fly back through Bagdogra or Kolkata. We were planning to spend a few days in Varanasi and a few days in Kolkata. In 10 days is it better to stick to those two places (and maybe a stopover or two in between), or is it worth making a detour through Darjeeling on the way back down to Kolkata. Except for the toy train, which we'd love to experience, we'll already get quite…

Canadian couple with 10 weeks to travel, so want to be flexible enough to stay in a place we like for an extra few days, rather than be tied down to a rigid itinerary. I keep hearing that Trains book up very quickly, so we should pre-book 6 or 8 weeks in advance. So a few questions and thank you in advance for your insights ...
1. How many days in advance to train bookings open up ? Is First, Second or Third Class the first to sell out? What has been your experience in purchasing the limited…
