Hello - Can you please share your experience on ATM withdrawals. I have read some ATM's have a maximum of only 2000 R and the bank fees on that amount would be exorbitant. Some ATM's may allow withdrawals of 10,000 R ... how can you tell in advance what the maximum is ? Are certain Banks like Citi a better choice for larger withdrawals ? Rather than use an ATM, can you go inside the Bank and withdraw 20,000 or 30,000 R providing you have your Passport etc.? Thanks.

Hi I have received my Visa after a wait of about 5-6 weeks which has scuppered my initial plans. I can only go now at end of December but wanted to ask if this is doable re: weather? I was planning to fly Islamabad- Gilgit then get a driver to Karimabad etc. Also Visa is valid from now til end december im presuming it will be valid for 1 mnth after date of arrival? Having read through the fine print, however, it seems like it is hardly a sure bet that a waitlisted ticket becomes a confirmed ticket prior to the date of travel. I am gonna be staying in egmore and i want to get the direct bus to mamalapuram. Does anybody know if there is a central place/bus station nearby ? i remember in the distant past the buses all went from one place about 10ks from egmore.
