Volunteer work and atm's

Country forums / Indian Subcontinent / Nepal

Hi all,

Question :
In a day or 5 we will enter Nepal via India (Saunali). We hope there to find some volunteer work, for 3 - 4 weeks. Maybe around NP Chitwan (Sauraha) or in or around KTM. Does anybody know how to get in contact with the right people?

Question :
Where can we find the first atm (Cirrus - Maestro) in south Nepal. Is there any atm in the south? Is there any in Sauraha, or nearby?
What is the value, changing indian roepies for nepalese roepies at the border?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Berth
there are a few different volunteer organisations who operate aeound KTM and Chitwan. Most of them charge a fee a few are free. The question about yolunteer work has been asked a few time .Do a Search & you'll find a few posts. There are some with links & other names as well.
atm : never saw one in Sauraha but there def. some in Narangarth - the next big city approx 12 km from Sauraha.
