Visa for China in Delhi or in Islamabad ?

Hello !

I need to apply for my Chinese visa. This is where I'm going after Pakistan. I would like to know where's the best place to apply for my visa : Delhi or Islamabad.
Seems like the Delhi office asks lots of documentation and as I'm going overland, it is hard to provide copy of an airline ticket.

If anyone has some experiences to share, it would be great !

Islamabad used to be a great place to get Chinese tourist visas, with the whole process being considerably more straight-forward than in many other regional capitals. However, Chinese visa procedures have been changing a lot recently, and I'm not aware of the what the current situation is in Islamabad. What nationality you have will also affect things a lot. I would have thought it's still probably easier to get a visa in Islamabad than in Delhi, but that's just a guess. Though China does still have much better relations with Pakistan than with India...

It takes about a week to 10 days to get Chines visa in Islamabad.You don't have to show any plane ticket in order to obtain your visa in Islamabad.

will definitively try to get it done in Islamabad. It is just too complecated in India ! they are asking so many information.

Yeah.Islamabad seems to be easier then Delhi as far as the Chines visa is concern.

This is the feedback from a Russian tourist:

"Just my experience: with a Russian passport it takes them 4 days to issue the visa, 2 if you pay double, 1 if you pay even more.

Documents needed: passport, copy of it, hotel reservation (that i made on booking.com and cancelled later), tickets (I explained that I'm going by land and don't have them), bank statement (confirming that I'm not too broke :)), document from my employer ht I'm employed. Ah, and they asked me to write by hand my itinerary (although i said that i didn't have any itinerary and I'm random like this...)

Got double entry visa 30 days each."
