I will be in Hyderabad for a wedding 24-29 July and want to add a trek and/or Ashram on to the trip the week prior. I'm open to travel to other areas of the country. Acknowledging it is monsoon season, it appears the most popular hikes are Markha Valley and Kashmir Great Lakes but I am not a fan of crowds and am a bit more fit than the average tourist trekker. As a solo female I should probably enlist a guide, but an recommendations to challenge and view amazing things?

You might want to look at this one:

Logistically easier if you fly into Bangalore and out of Hyderabad. There is not a lot of visitor appeal to Bangalore, and you could take an overnight train from Yesvantpur Junction railway station to Kozhikkode (Calicut); and then a car to Srimangala.

Any number of ashrams to visit around Bangalore to ease the travel gap between the trek and Hyderabad.

There are other, less touristy even untouristy possible treks jn Ladakh and Zanskar. Also Spiti is a less touristy area than Ladakh but there is no airport, you must go there by road.
